Guided Walks Schedule

Guided walks are held on the fifth Saturday of the month, which generally occurs four times during the year.

Dates for 2018 are:

  • 31 March
  • 30 June
  • 29 September
  • 29 December

Meet at 8am on the south side of St Mary’s Anglican School. (This is on the slip road at the side of the school, near where it meets Elliott Road.)

Guided walks take approx 2 hours and are generally led by long-time members of FoTB with extensive knowledge of native plants and bush ecology.

The walk is at a gentle pace on established paths. Bring your hat and water bottle as well as your camera and binoculars. We will stay on established limestone firebreaks, but good shoes and long pants are a necessity. While we have never seen one on a walk, there are snakes in Trigg Bushland!

Children are welcome, and it is a good opportunity to provide some training about quiet observation of wildlife and respecting the bush by staying on paths. Unfortunately, even well behaved dogs on a lead tend to frighten wildlife, and so we ask you to leave your dog at home.

For further information, contact us before the walk. And please take a look at the photos from our previous walks:
